Past Projects
Kindergarten at The Evergreen School
The Evergreen School is an independent K-8 school for highly capable learners in shoreline, Washington. I worked as a kindergarten teaching assistant for two years, doing arts integration and project based learning.
Northshore Inclusion Project
I created and taught a once-a-week, year long, musical theatre residency in partnership with the Northshore Wranglers program that serves adults with neurodiverse needs, primarily on the spectrum and/or with Down syndrome. We have even managed to sing and dance during the pandemic, meeting once a week on Zoom.
Disney Musicals in Schools
I spent 4 wonderful years teaching for Disney Musicals in Schools, a free program offered to a limited number of public elementary schools each year. Over the course of a semester, professional Teaching Artists guide school teachers through the process of mounting a musical with student performers. The goal is to create sustainable theatre programs in Title IX schools throughout the Greater Seattle Area.
Community Outreach Programs
Fall of 2019, I worked with Seattle Theatre Group and Seattle Children's Theatre, bringing theatre into communities in a variety of different ways, including Paramount Broadway Show connection workshops at the Kent Senior Center and Conflict Resolution drama residencies with 3rd-5th graders through SCT.
